Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake are Friends With Benefits

www.flix66.com
5.5.2010

Mila Kunis is set to join Justin Timberlake in the upcoming relationship comedy FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS. The film is about two people that are sick of getting stuck with a certain type of boyfriend/girlfriend and decide to be each other’s “friends with benefits”. But things get hairy when they start to have feelings for each other. Will Gluck will be directing the rom-com. For those keeping track at home, this film is in a tight race with a similar comedy starring Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman, which focuses on the same type of premise. That film is directed by Ivan Reitman and hasn’t started shooting yet either.

The title of one or both films will most likely change and at this point, I don’t think either actually own the rights to the title. Personally, if I had to choose between the two former ‘That 70’s Show’ stars, I’d have to go with Kunis on this one. I can actually see her and Timberlake in a rom-com, but Kutcher and Portman? No thanks.

www.gossipcenter.com
5.04.2010

Taking care of their growling tummies, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were spotted out to brunch in New York City today (May 4).

The “Cry Me a River” crooner and his “Summer Catch” cutie looked very much in love as they strolled around Downtown Manhattan, ignoring the nearby paparazzi.

Last night, Jess and Justin were among the throng of top celebrities in attendance at the Costume Institute Gala Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

As for her follow up to climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro back in January, Jessica told press, “I’m thinking about trekking to Everest base camp. That’s kind of the next goal.”

Melissa & Joey Search for Smiles Before ‘Dancing With the Stars’

www.okmagazine.com
5.04.10

Dancing With the Stars alum Joey Fatone and Melissa Rycroft teamed up at Orlando’s World Smile Search Kick-Off in NYC, but that’s not the only teaming up these two are working on. Joey and Melissa talked to OK! about being chosen by fans to dance together on DWTS next season and how they need to start practicing now!

Joey and Melissa were recently in NYC for the “World Smile Search.” SmileTrain, a non-profit organization that provides funds for cleft lip and palate surgery for kids worldwide, is partnering with The Orlando Convention and Visitor’s Bureau to select 67 winners to help celebrate World Smile Day in October in Orlando, the city that “Makes You Smile.”

“We’re going to be picking some people that are going to be able to write down a kind of a story that makes them smile about Orlando, Florida or maybe even a little video,” Joey explained to OK!. “We’re going to be picking 67 people across the world and will have some smile ambassadors as well that are going to be traveling around and when that happens on October 1st, they’re going to be flying in for World Smile Day, which is kind of cool and also doing a good cause as well.”

“We really want to raise awareness to the organization, as well as raise money,” Melissa added. “We want to help some of these children to have surgeries and help improve their smiles and their quality of life and our goal specifically for this is to get 67.”

While Joey and Melissa are trying to help the SmileTrain they’re making their fans smile by dancing together on DWTS.

“There’s a thing called Design A Dance, where they pick the celebrity and the professional dancer and the costume and the song and the style of the dance,” Joey told OK!. “They picked the tango to do rock n’ roll night with and they picked two celebrities as far as dancing together for the first time. You never see two celebrities dancing together on that stage. So Mark Ballas is going to be doing the choreograph.”

So are they ready to get back to dancing?

“NO!”Joey exclaimed. “You’ve only been out of it a year but I’ve been out of it…”

“18 years…” Melissa joked.

“It’s ridiculous,” Joey agreed. “It happens.”

“We supposedly are having just a week before the show for rehearsals,” Joey added about their rehearsal schedule. “I don’t know if that’s a lot or enough.”

“It’s not enough and it’s not a lot and you know, the only thing I think we can promise is that we’ll have fun,” Melissa said. “Steps may not be right.”

“If we screw up, we’ll smile,” Joey added.

The DWTS alum are still watching this season and Melissa did have a favorite, but he’s already left.

“Well, my votes by default are going to Tony because he was my old partner, but now he’s gone so I need to see where I’m going to divvy mine up this time,” she explained.

So what did Melissa think of Tony reportedly having trouble working with Kate Gosselin?

“I know Tony takes that job very very seriously. Tony is a professional on all levels and he really is,” Melissa explained. “He wants that dance to be as perfect as possible you know and I learned pretty easy on, in the role that we were in, you just sit down, that’s their job. I trust them and that’s their job. It’s a learning process with some people as to how much to say and when to sit back and when should I just trust and they’re learning slowly.”

“Some people do have trust issues with that and some people have never been told what to do in that sense and in that light where ‘you’re doing that wrong, you need to do it again’ and it’s like ‘what are you talking about? I do it right,’” Joey added.

“It’s hard,” Melissa agreed. “Everybody’s coming in very talented, so to hear that you’re not doing something right and you’re getting judged, it’s kind of a beat to everybody’s ego.”

When Melissa watched the rehearsals she joked, “I was wondering how many times he’d wanted to quit on me but just didn’t tell me.”

But now they’re looking ahead and since Joey was on the show a lot has changed!

“My daughter was probably five years old. I have a three month old daughter now and yeah it’s been crazy,” he said. “A great crazy span. A nine-year-old and a three-month-old.”

“Are you going to have another one in nine years?” Melissa asked Joey.

“No, shop’s closed,” Joey said although his kids get along great.

“My daughter loves it. She helps change diapers, feeds her and all that stuff. She’s absolutely loving it,” he said. “I didn’t know what exactly was going to happen, but it’s great that when she gets older she’ll be a built-in babysitter. It’s nice because now I’m able to do things like this, like World Smile Search and be able to get around now that she’s 3 months old and I’m able to do that and I’ve been doing this and running around dancing with Melissa right here.”

As for Melissa she’s enjoyed married life right now, before having babies.

“Kids are in the future, but not the near future,” she explained to OK!. “Not planning for probably another three years.”

Her husband has been spoiling her and Melissa tried to share the advice to Joey.

“He has brought me home flowers,” she said. “When I’m at home and he’s at work and he’ll come home and know that either I’m stressed out or something, he’ll have brought me…Joey, it makes me smile. Think about it for your wife.”

Caught in the Act! (Justin & Jessica mention)

www.people.com

4.30.2010

Justin Timberlake had his arm wrapped around girlfriend Jessica Biel in the VIP lounge at Drai's Hollywood. The two were whispering to each other as if they were the only two in the room, sipping cocktails and breaking their snuggle only to mingle with friends. After a few drinks, they were escorted upstairs to watch pal Timbaland perform. The rapper gave Timberlake some shout-outs from the stage, and the singer danced on the couch, throwing his hands in the air. Biel remained mellow throughout the night – and the two lovebirds snuck out early.

Justin Timberlake Protege Esmee Denters: Will this new video finally make her a star?

music-mix.ew.com
4.28.10

Twenty-one-year-old Esmee Denters, the Dutch songstress best known Stateside for her Youtube covers and Justin Timberlake connection (he signed her to his Tennman Records imprint in 2008), released her debut, Outta Here, in Europe last spring.

Now, she’s got a high-profile new video for the album’s third single, the Britney-eque “Love Dealer,” featuring an uber-casual Justin, looking very “hey, man, it’s laundry day,” on back-up; watch it after the jump:

What do you think? Honestly, apple-cheeked Esmee doesn’t really seem like the leather-bustier temptress type; it kind of feels like watching Colbie Caillat cover Cascada.

Joey Fatone: Adjusting to Double the Daughters

celebritybabies.people.com
4.27.2010

In the years since ‘NSYNC split Joey Fatone has become quite the family man, residing in Florida with wife Kelly and their 9-year-old daughter Briahna Joely.

With the addition of Kloey Alexandra in January, however, the pop star says he’s still coming to terms with being a dad of two!

“It’s really weird to grasp the concept that I actually have another kid. It’s so bizarre. It’s surreal,” Fatone, 33, told PEOPLE Moms & Babies as he kicked off Orlando’s World Smile Search Friday in N.Y.C.

“My wife always says she has three kids now instead of two.”

The Dancing With the Stars alum says he’s enjoying watching his 3-month-old baby girl grow — even if he’s not noticing much of a resemblance!

“At first, Kloey looked like my daughter and then my brother-in-law, but now she doesn’t look like anybody,” he laughs. “She has blue eyes — I don’t have blue eyes and neither does my wife. She might be the milkman’s kid!”

Elder daughter Briahna is “super excited” about her little sister, Fatone says. “Briahna’s embracing her. She feeds and changes her. It’s awesome — it’s fun to watch them interact.”

A big kid himself, the doting dad says he enjoys playing Wii Fit, video games and softball with Briahna.

“She has all these different interests,” explains Fatone. “Now she’s into fashion. She’s been drawing and wants to make outfits. She’s religiously watching Project Runway and I have to watch it. I’m like Tim Gunn — ‘Hello designers.’”

Briahna likes music as well, and understands her father’s pop star past. In fact, Fatone’s entrepreneurial daughter hopes to cash in on Dad’s success too.

“She knows the drill. [Whenever] we’re in a crowd she’s like, ‘Somebody’s going to ask you for an autograph or picture,’ and she’ll stand to the side or wait. If there’s a lot of people, she’ll say, ‘If I charge five bucks, I could make some money. Five or 10 bucks for a picture.’”

'Glee': Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney, Coldplay to make appearances?

examiner.com
4.27.10

It seems like everyone is jumping on the Glee bandwagon these days. With the intense popularity of the Madonna-themed episode last week, musical acts are coming out of the woodwork to try to be linked to the hit Fox show. As stars like Britney Spears and Courtney Love talk with Glee creators about future collaborations, it is no wonder that some of the biggest names in the music industry are trying to link with the hit musical comedy.

According to Radar Online, Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney, and Coldplay have been considered for features on Glee next season. Show creator Ryan Murphy stated that while Coldplay initially refused to have their songs played on the show, they have since changed their minds.

Glee cast members, including Matthew Morrison, have been pushing for an appearance by Justin Timberlake, but Murphy was quick to point out he doesn't want too many guest stars to sing. He would rather the focus remain on the Glee cast. But don't rule out a Timberlake-themed episode. With an extensive catalogue of music, Timberlake could pull in a huge audience rivaling that of the Madonna episode.

Murphy confirmed to Radar that Billy Joel and Britney Spears are interested in joining the show. He also revealed that Sir Paul McCartney has become a "Gleek." Scoring a McCartney episode would be huge for Glee. While the show currently dominates in the 18-24 age group, McCartney's hits could appeal to a much broader demographic.

Lance Bass, others sponsor gay-friendly prom

The Associated Press
4.9.10

TUPELO, Miss. — Green Day, former 'N Sync member Lance Bass and celebrity chef Cat Cora are among those helping to pay for a gay-friendly prom in Mississippi next month.

Organizers say the event is open to everyone but geared toward gay students.

The American Humanist Association also will contribute $20,000 for the May 8 event in Tupelo.

The annual prom is organized by the Mississippi Safe Schools Coalition. This year's event has drawn attention because of the case of Constance McMillen, a high school senior who challenged her school district's rule banning same-sex dates at proms.

Coalition spokesman Matthew Sheffield says plans for the event haven't been completed. He says Bass, who is gay, is among the celebrities expected to attend.

Justin Timberlake And Jessica Biel Deny Split

www.mtv.co.uk

7.7.09

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have made an effort to quash split rumours by making nice for the cameras on a cosy night out.

The pair, who previously hadn’t been seen out together for months – sparking rumours that their relationship had hit the skids – went on a double-dinner-date with supermodel Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady in West Hollywood.

But despite the happy-couple-smiles for paps outside the restaurant, some cynics remain convinced that all is not well with the A-list twosome.

Sources close to Timberlake claimed he was unwilling to take Jessica on a recent trip to the UK, saying she’s far too needy and is “always checking up on him.”

Then JT was reported to be “acting like a single man” at Kate Hudson’s recent 30th birthday bash. Ouch.

In other JT news, the singer has been rumoured to play at Michael Jackson’s memorial service in Los Angeles.

Justin Timberlake launches William Rast line at Selfridges

www.telegraph.co.uk

7.1.09

It’s pretty hard to interrupt a conversation between Justin Timberlake and his best friend, Trace Ayala. Slunk low on neighbouring armchairs in a personal shopping suite at Selfridges, the pair are caught up in an intense discussion about the dangers of golf. “Man, I swear, it’s almost like an extreme sport,” insists Timberlake, clad in oiled black William Rast jeans, a black shirt and leather boots.

I clear my throat. Interviews with Hollywood stars peddling films, perfume or clothing are unnatural affairs: too brief and sanitised to give any real sense of character, they often reduce you to barking out questions until some minder materialises and informs you in a digital voice that you have three, two… one question left.

“Do you know who we’re trying to get into a pair of our jeans?” volunteers Timberlake, pale and slight, but perky, at the end of a long day giving interviews about the British launch of his new womenswear line for William Rast, the premium denim brand he founded with his childhood friend Ayala in 2005. “Prince William – he’d look pretty cool in Rast. And Harry too.” Harry’s an outlaw, I tell them, so probably in keeping with their “Badlands” ethos. “So we’ve heard,” he chuckles.

With their new womenswear collection – distressed leathers, tailored blazers, flattering jeans and edgy T-shirt and waistcoat combos – reflecting the hard, premeditated styles you see on the streets of New York, I wonder whether this a reaction to the loungewear of their hometown, Los Angeles. “The women in LA dress like boys,” says 28-year-old Timberlake, shaking his head. “Here in London, you see a lot more of that tailored, sharp look that New York women have.”

“He’s right,” says 28-year-old Ayala. “British girls dress pretty sharp – in the States people tend to wear their clothes looser.”

What does Timberlake most hate to see a woman wearing? “Spray tans are the worst,” he says, “and women in velour trousers.” Ayala cries out in horror: “Tucked into Ugg boots!”

Both men fall about laughing. “Oh and those tights girls wear under dresses, T-shirts and everything,” Ayala adds.

“They’re leggings, man,” explains Timberlake patiently. “And they’re OK when there’s a great body underneath.”

Rast denim is the opposite of all that nasty, Desperate Housewives couture – and loved by everyone from Jessica Biel (Timberlake’s girlfriend) to Cindy Crawford, Jessica Simpson and Cameron Diaz. “The thing about jeans is that you can wear them at any age,” says Ayala.

“Ask any American,” adds Timberlake, “and they will tell you that you are never too old to wear jeans, but there are rules you need to stick to, whether you’re a boy or a girl. They shouldn’t be so loose that you can fit twins in there, or so tight that you can see the shape of your calves. And if you’re going to dress them up with nice shoes and a jacket, the socks have got to be good – don’t go teaming them with plain old white sports socks.”

For the line to take off as it has done in America, they say, would be a coup, but there is something else – aside from that picture of Prince Harry swaggering out of Boujis in Rast strides – that they aspire to. “We’d like to get Michelle Obama in the new collection, so we’re going to send her some things. Barack Obama would be great in our jeans, too – we haven’t really seen his dressed-down look yet.”

If the clothes could speak, I ask, as I’m ushered out, what would they say? “I am a rebel,” says Timberlake, “come and have a go.”

William Rast womenswear and menswear pop-up shops are open in Selfridges now, prices from £78; 0800 123 400, selfridges.com
