Justin Timberlake To Star In His Clothing Line's Ad Campaigns
www.allheadlinenews.comAnne Lu - Celebrity News Service News Writer
New York, NY (CNS) - Justin Timberlake has hired the perfect endorser to front the clothing label he co-owns with pal Trace Ayala. The Grammy Award-winning artist himself will star in the label's ad campaigns.
Timberlake will play the fictional role of William Rast in the campaign themed "My Name Is William Rast." The ad will also mark the launch of its men's and women's ready-to-wear collections.
The clothing range will not just feature the usual print ads, but also include a series of short online films. The "SexyBack" hitmaker co-wrote the screenplay and wrote its original score.
Model Erin Wasson plays Birdie, Timberlake's Bonnie to his Clyde on the ad campaigns.
Coline Dyne, CEO of the clothing brand, has been quoted by AdAge.com as saying, "The brand has evolved quite a bit in the last two-and-a-half years. Justin's involvement in the brand has been quite significant in the last 12 months since his tour has been over. Now he's able to use the brand as one of his creative expressions. That played a major role in how the whole thing came about."
The campaign is set to launch early next month.

Timberlake slams Kutcher over trucker cap
www.stuff.co.nzPop star Justin Timberlake has slammed Ashton Kutcher for stealing his style credit for the trucker cap.
The 27-year-old singer insists he should be recognised for making trucker caps fashionable because he started wearing them long before What Happens In Vegas star Ashton.
Justin said: "It's funny, I keep hearing Ashton Kutcher say how he was responsible for trucker caps. Me and my friend Trace Ayala were wearing them when we were 17."
Although Justin likes experimenting with different styles, he doesn't see himself as a trendsetter.
He added: "Honestly, I don't walk out of my house thinking, man, I hope somebody thinks this looks cool!'
"There's some stuff I wear that people think is not cool."
Justin - who launched the William Rast denim line with pal Trace in 2005 - also revealed he has designed a new collection with Swedish fashion designer Johan Lindeberg.
He explained: "It is Southern heritage meets forward European innovation. I don't want to be Mr 'SexyBack' forever."
Justin is set to perform at the Fashion Rocks concert - which celebrates the relationship between fashion and music - at New York's Radio City Music Hall on September 5.
Beyonce Knowles, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, the Pussycat Dolls and Timbaland are also scheduled to appear.

Timberlake hunting for 'perfect' ring
timesofindia.indiatimes.comPop star Justin Timberlake may finally be thinking of settling down, as he is hunting for the perfect ring for girlfriend Jessica Biel.
The singer, who was left heartbroken by Britney Spears, seems to have finally found ‘the one’ in love Jessica Biel.
Apparently, the singer has found a clever way to ensure the paparazzi doesn’t catch him shopping for the ring at a jewelery store, as the singer is shopping online.
“He spends a lot of time at night and when Jess isn't around to try and find the perfect ring,” Hollyscoop quoted a source, as saying.
The ‘ 4 Minutes’ singer is also reportedly eyeing many exotic islands as a venue for his marriage to Jessica.

Lance Bass Is Dating A Married Man!
dlisted.comLance Bass is the gay Sienna Miller because he's doing fuckey fuckey times with a married man! Homewrecking slut! Well, not really. Lance's new piece, personal trainer Sebastian Leal, reportedly married Jessica Gannon 9 years ago and never divorced even though they broke up 3 years ago. Sebastian was raised in Brazil and Jessica is an American. Green card marriage! My favorite.
Jessica told Page Six that they split due to "irreconcilable differences." The differences being that they both like dick. Jessica went on to say, "We continue to love each other. He was, is and always will be my best friend." Blah...blah... Whatever you say Andie McDowell.
And somebody needs to tell Lance and Sebastian to please keep the fisting action behind closed doors.

Backstage and getting personal with JC Chasez
blog.seattlepi.nwsource.comChasez Challenges the Dance Crews with his judging skills.
By Peter Gonzaga
Many of you know of JC Chasez from the group 'N Sync, the popular boy band that produced the superstar Justin Timberlake along with paparazzi chased Lance Bass. In 2004, Chasez released a solo album, Schizophrenic, and has gone on to write and produce for music acts such as Girls Aloud, Basement Jaxx, and the Backstreet Boys.
His new project that Chasez is currently working on is the popular MTV show "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew" in which he's a judge along with choreographer Shane Sparks and rap diva Lil Mama. Since the show's inception, he's been a judge that is particular with execution and choreography that sometimes leads to audience members booing him whenever he has a solid critique of any of the popular b-boy/dance crews. Don't call him a Simon Cowell because he understands the hardship the groups go through.
JC took a few minutes out of his time before the show taping last Tuesday, July 15, 2008, backstage to wow me with his judging sensibilities.
Peter G: You're in your second season as a judge on "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew" and it seems like you've been a bit harder on the b-boy/breakdancing crews, why is that?
JC: I'm not necessarily harder on the b-boy crews but you know, I will point out things that should be worked on. Here's the thing. I respect all these crews. I respect the athleticism of these b-boy crews because they are doing things that take a lot of agility and a lot of strength, a lot of concentration. I'm going to tell you right now that a lot of those flips on my best days is not happening. I have the utmost respect for these guys but at the end of the day, in order to entertain for a long period of time, there has to be more. You have to so range. If all you do is back flips for an hour, it becomes less impressive 45 minutes in. The first back flip is wowing, the second one is wowing, and the twentieth one has lost its edge. I'm looking for range and execution.
Peter G: Talking about range, do you see that with Fanny Pak? Personally, I thought of them as the underdog but then now they have some contention to get to the top.
JC: They are definitely an underdog. In my opinion of what they have over all the groups, they have a creative element. They are a bit more visionary when it comes to the overall entertainment level. They don't do a thousand back flips and yet you're excited to see them, as you are an acrobatic group. There is something to be said of that. But I think at times some of the groups have given us that. It's just a matter of everybody living up to their fullest potential.
Peter G: It's coming down to the wire with only five groups left as of today (Tuesday, July 22, 2008), it's harder for you as a judge to send someone home?
JC: It's definitely tough to be a judge right now because basically I'd say four out of the five groups; we're like it's going to be impossible to send home.
Peter G: Do you feel like there's going to be a surprise upset where you say, "Oh My Gosh, we have to send one of these groups home."
JC: Here's the thing. On any given day, these groups can have their best day and they can have their worst day when the pressure is on that day.
Peter G: For you seeing these groups perform, does that give you the bug to get back out there and dance?
JC: I enjoy it and I enjoy watching these groups. I'm very fortunate to be in a position where I have a front row seat to a great show. To be it's like a dancing concert to me while I'm kind of taking notes along the way. I'm a fan of all these groups. I know how hard they work and they put their time, their thought and energy into it and I appreciate it. I know I'm judging but I'm enjoying it. When I see them working at it, it's inspiring and makes you want to go to work.
Peter G: I asked Shane Sparks about this, what group or what particular moves from a group has blown you away this season?
JC: Any in particular move, ah, maybe the air flairs. I just love the lines that I see with Fanny Pak. The lines they use are so unique. They are not going with generic lines when they are putting their legs or arms out. They are giving me something that is angular and eccentric. I've haven't been overexposed to it, so I feel like I'm watching something new all the time. I also love the cleanliness of SoReal. They're great. When it comes to execution, they are unbelievable. I would say those two are the greatest.
Peter G: Once the show wraps up, what's in the pipeline for you?
JC: I'm doing this show. I'm also going to shoot a small part in a film. Also, I'm always in the studio writing whether on my stuff or other people's stuff.
Peter G: Any plans for an album?
JC: That's always in the pipeline.
(As of this writing, there are five crews left. They include Fanny Pak, SoReal, SuperCr3w, Boogie Bots and Supreme Soul. The show airs on MTV every Thursdays at 10:00 pm et/pt. with reruns through out the week.)

Lancing with the Stars?
www.afterelton.comby Dennis Ayers
The latest crop of Dancing With the Stars contestants won't be officially announced until mid-August, but TV Guide is reporting on rumors that Lance Bass has signed on for season 7. Not so surprising considering previous contestants have included former boy band members Joey McIntyre, Drew Lachey, and even a former N'Syncer, Joey Fatone. What is unique about this casting rumor is that supposedly the show's producers are considering pairing the out Bass with a male partner.
No doubt there are a good number of gay professional male ballroom dancers to pair him with, but I find it sort of hard to believe this stunt is being seriously considered. Maybe having Bass dance with a male partner as a "one-off" so to speak — but to pair him with a man for an entire season? Even if Bass himself were game for it (which is questionable), I just don't think it would go over all that well with the typical Dancing with the Stars viewer.
And to be honest, it might not even be that interesting to gay viewers either. Maybe it's just me, but a big part of the fun of ballroom dancing are those the glittery and revealing dresses the women wear. All the feathers, the glitter, the twirled up skirts.
So unless Bass is going to be performing in drag (which certainly could be interesting), I think the idea of pairing him with a man on this show is a non-starter.

Mary Steenburgen Takes To ‘The Open Road’ With Justin Timberlake
moviesblog.mtv.comReporting by Adrianna Kourafas
First, Mary Steenburgen was the compassionate stepmom of a North Pole free-spirit in “Elf.” On July 25th, she’ll once again play mother to Will Ferrell in the wild Judd Apatow comedy “Step Brothers.” These days, however, she’s been getting in sync with her new on-screen son, Justin Timberlake.
“I love him,” she said of her co-star in “The Open Road,” a recently-wrapped drama that casts JT as the son of a baseball legend (Jeff Bridges) who takes his girlfriend (Kate Mara) on a road trip to deal with his ailing mother. “I play his mommy. I went from playing Will’s mommy to Justin’s mommy. Go figure!”
Steenburgen explained that “Road” offered herself, as well as the singer/actor star of films like “Black Snake Moan” and “The Love Guru,” opportunities to dig into meaty roles unlike they’d had before.
“It’s a little more dramatic,” the veteran actress insisted. “And it’s kind of a quirky little interesting road trip-movie part of the time, between a father and son, Jeff Bridges and Justin. They’re being manipulated the whole time by me, from my hospital bed.”
Written and directed by relative newcomer Michael Meredith, the flick also co-stars Lyle Lovett and Timberlake’s old “Alpha Dog” co-star Harry Dean Stanton. The movie was largely filmed in Hammond, Louisiana, a mere 20 miles from the town that gave us his ex-girlfriend, Britney Spears. Footage was also reportedly shot during minor league games involving the farm teams for the Houston Astros.
When asked what it was like to work with the A-list star, Mary had the highest regards for the “SexyBack” singer. “I love Justin. Justin’s funny, creative, real, utterly unspoiled, and amazingly talented. I adore him.” Well Mary, so does MTV.
